foster the city-389You’re taking the first step in joining a network of volunteers who build relationships with families facing social isolation and provide the mentorship and resources parents need to build stability in their lives when they have nowhere else to turn. You can read more about our various volunteer roles here. Please take a look and pray about the best fit for you. Volunteer Application Process

  1. Complete the online application for the role you are applying for (below)
  2. Sign up for a volunteer training session. Trainings can be found online here
  3. Finish the background check process (post training)

Be a Babysitter

Babysitters serve Host Homes and parents by caring for children at least once a month

 Identity History Summary, with fingerprints submitted to the FBI


 Child Protective Register check through DC’s Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA)

If you’ve completed a FBI Background check within the last 5 years or a Child Protection Registry Check within the last 3 years we can use those results. We will still need you to send us a signed copy of our Voluntary Agreement.
