THE VISION
Our vision is a DC where every child has a permanent, safe, and loving home.
THE MISSION
Our mission is to strengthen and stabilize families impacted by the foster care system in Washington, DC, by mobilizing the Church to provide wraparound support.
Did you know…
Every day, children are removed from their biological homes and placed in foster care due to allegations of abuse and neglect.
90% of foster children will come into contact with the juvenile justice system before leaving care
1 out of 4 former foster youth experience homelessness within 4 years of aging out
Only 50% of youth raised in foster care graduate from high school
60% of child sex trafficking victims have histories in the child welfare system
By age 21, 71% of young women in foster care become pregnant
For many children in foster care, “home” is not a steady place but a series of temporary stops. Moving from home to home, separated from siblings and familiar support networks, children and youth in care experience instability that follows them into adulthood.
