Church Mobilization

Church Mobilization

Program Purpose

We seek deep engagement with local churches as we work to mobilize the body of Christ in meeting the needs of vulnerable families in Washington, DC. Partnering with churches is strategic: Communities of support that seek to love and serve one another already exist within congregations and the church is called to “care for orphans and widows in their distress.” The church is uniquely positioned to make sustainable change in the lives of children and families in our city. No other institution in the world can embrace children and support their families like the local church. As an organization, we affirm the biblical call to care for vulnerable people in our city. We believe that God has called us to tangibly and personally respond to the plight of our neighbors. (James 1:27).
