We're Here to Support You
DC127 journeys with parents who are socially isolated, overwhelmed, under-resourced, facing significant life challenges and have increased risk of instability. We preserve families to ensure that children have a safe and healthy home by mobilizing churches and recruiting volunteers to build a support system. Although our hope is that every child remains with their family, we also recruit and support foster families to ensure that children who are in foster care have a safe home to reside. We walk alongside families fostering in Washington D.C. and connect them to community resources, volunteers, and a support network to limit the amount of child placement disruptions.
Foster Care Support
The Foster Care Support program at DC127 supports kinship, foster, and adoptive families to provide stability for children in their care. DC127 also seeks to be a safe space to learn more about foster care and explore becoming a foster parent.
Church Mobilization
DC127's Church Mobilization program provides churches in DC pathways to effectively care for widows and orphans. We know your church cares for the orphaned and vulnerable because of how we have been greatly cared for in Jesus.
Communities for Families
Communities for Families (CFF) is our 6 month program that supports families at-risk for separation. We mobilize church volunteer ministry teams, to work upstream to provide holistic support to preserve families who have one or more risk factors that may increase their potential for family disruption, leading to a child(ren) experiencing foster care.
