DC127 has been blessed to participate in a winter coat drive this past Thanksgiving for children in our Communities for Families program. We partnered with SE Tabernacle Baptist Church who bought and supplied the brand-new winter coats to DC127. This drive is part of a larger project that saw 400 new coats distributed citywide. Rev. Donald Isaac of SE Tabernacle Baptist Church commented, “SETBC is committed to working with DC127 to meet the needs of families in the District of Columbia. We count it as a privilege to connect with and share with families during this thanksgiving season.” Parents were also very excited to collect coats commenting on which colors there children would love and what wonderful Christmas presents they would make. DC127 is thankful to work with Rev. Isaac, Carol Bady who organized the drive citywide, and DC127 families who continue to overcome and flourish inside and outside of our program.
